The reason a black object is described as "a black object" is becasuse even

under white light, where every color is available, the thing absorbs all of them,

and doesn't reflect any color. Illuminating it with light of only a single color isn't

going to change that. It'll still appear black.

What will a yellow object look like when under a yellow light?

A yellow object under a yellow light will appear very bright and vibrant, as the object will reflect the light in a consistent color. This can potentially make it difficult to differentiate between the object and the surrounding light source.

What colour is a yellow object under a red light?

It would look like a very, very, very, very yellowy orange.

What would a red object look like under a yellow light?

Blue appears black under a yellow light. For example if you have a blue car and you put a yellow light on it will appear black due to the absence of color. The light has nothing to reflect back.

What colour would a green object look under yellow light and why?

A green object would appear dark or almost black under yellow light. This is because yellow light consists of wavelengths that are primarily in the yellow part of the spectrum, and it does not contain much green light. Therefore, the green object would not reflect much light back to our eyes, resulting in its dark appearance.

What colour is a white object under yellow light?

Why do you call it a "white object" ? Could it be because it looks white under white light ... light composed of every color ? Well then, the object must reflect every color. So it appears to be the color of whatever light you illuminate it with. Yellow under yellow light, etc.

Why an object which appears yellow in daylight appears red when illuminated with magenta light?

The object absorbs all colors except yellow in daylight, reflecting yellow light. When illuminated with magenta light, the object absorbs magenta light and reflects red light due to the mixing of magenta and yellow light together. This causes the object to appear red under magenta light.

Do yellow sharpies glow under black light?

yes it does

What colour will an object appear to be under white light if it absorbs all the colours of light?

If an object absorbs all colors of light and reflects none, it will appear black under white light. This is because black is the absence of any reflected light.

How a yellow object will appear in magenta light?

Red - Yellow light is a mixture of red and green light. When a magenta filter is placed in front of it, the filter would allow the red light through, but not the green, making it appear red through the filter. Anyone who listens to 'Anonymous' over me will see I am right when they pick up a set of filters.

What color does bleach glow under a black light?

What color will a cyan object look under red light?

A cyan object will appear black under red light because red light is absorbed by cyan objects. Cyan is a combination of green and blue light, so when only red light is present, there is no light for the cyan object to reflect or absorb.

What color does a green and orange object reflect?

An object appears a certain color to you because it reflects that color of light and absorbs other colors of light. For example, a white object appears white because it reflects all colors of visible light (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). A black object appears black because it absorbs all of these colors--and as a result, none of those colors are reflected back to your eyes. Under white light, the object appears yellow-green because it reflects both yellow and green light and absorbs all other colors. (Remember, white light has all colors of visible light in it). If only green light is present, there's only green light for it to reflect--so it will appear green. If you shined yellow light on it only, it would be yellow. If you shined yellow and green light, it would appear yellow-green again. It you shined red and blue light on it, it would appear black, because it absorbs both of those colors.
