The various advantages of microwave communications are as follows:
1>large bandwidth availability
2>less power requirement with the use of repeaters
3>easily penetrable to the areas like even the ionosphere
4>line of sight propagation
5>reduces the size of the antenna
6>can accommodate more number of channels
Radio waves reach the ground which means that they can be viewed from the ground and you don't have to travel up into space to view them. They also can observe phenomena's that other wavelength ranges cannot view.
There are several reasons. Here are a few:
-- We know how to modulate them ... add information onto the radio waves that we send,
and gather the information off of the radio waves that we receive.
-- We know how to generate radio waves, and transmit them with tremedous power.
-- We know how to use giant dish antennas to focus the tansmissions of radio waves
into a tiny cone, with the effective isotropic power of millions of watts.
-- We know how to use the same antennas to gather microscopic 'nano'-samples
of incoming radio waves.
-- We know how to use electronic circuits to recover information from incredibly tiny
samples of radio waves ... as little as -150 dBm (0.000000000000000001 watt ! ).
-- We're not able to do these things with waves at substantially different frequencies.
-- The Earth's atmosphere is reasonably transparent to radio waves, so we don't
lose a lot of the energy in them as they pass in or out through it.
The advantages in using radio waves are;
DIDN'T DO MY RESEARCH BUT THIS CAME FROM MY MIND BY TYPING TALKING TO MY COUSIN AT THE SAME TIME
GOTTA LOVE SCIENCE :P
Radio frequency rates vary from 3KHz to about 300GHz. Radio frequencies are not only used for radio communication but are also in use in medicine and arc welding.
Radio waves.
It has two. The ability to travel long distances and to pass through solid, non-conductive objects.
Those are called radio waves. Also, the so-called microwaves, which are basically a type of radio waves (with a relatively high frequency and short wavelength), too.
Radio waves help people communicate with each other.
It hasn't been done and there is a problem because the background noise would prevent the use of radio communication over more than about 1 light year's distance. Radio waves travel at the speed of light, so it would take 2 years to get a message there and back from 1 light-year away.
advantages and disadvantages of broadcasting radio ?
There so many advantages of the radio. Some of the include mass communication, reaching out to millions of people in real time and being informative among other things.
One advantage of a two-way radio is the fact that they can connect to each other over long distances. A disadvantage is the fact that other people on the same channel can listen to the conversation.
Up until the invention of radio, communication had to be sent long distances along wires and cables. i.e. telegraph or telephone. With the invention of radio, communication was not restricted to the use of wires. Hence wireless is two words 'wire' and 'less' meaning without wire.

Frequency = speed/wavelength = (300,000,000)/(0.005) = 60 GHz.This is not light. This is microwave radio communication over relatively short distances.
