Resonance is actually the tendency of vibrating body to increase its amplitude when applied frequency becomes equal to its natural frequency. When we apply a frequency equal to the natural frequency of vibrating body (i.e by giving a push to a swing FOR EXAMPLE). This push (force) makes amplitude double. Because Amplitude directly varies with Force but Time Period or Frequency does not change.

What is vibration of one object causes the vibration of another called?

When the vibration of one object causes another object to vibrate as well, it is called resonance. Resonance occurs when the natural frequency of the second object matches the frequency of the vibrating first object, causing it to absorb energy and vibrate in sympathy.

What causes the phenomenon of resonance in glass breaking?

Resonance in glass breaking occurs when the frequency of sound waves matches the natural frequency of the glass, causing it to vibrate and eventually break.

What occurs when vibrations through an object match the object's natural frequency?

When vibrations match an object's natural frequency, resonance occurs. This causes the object to absorb more energy and vibrate with a higher amplitude. In some cases, resonance can lead to structural failures or damage to the object.

What is resonance relating to nmri?

In the context of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI), resonance refers to the absorption of radiofrequency energy by atomic nuclei in a magnetic field. When the applied radiofrequency matches the resonant frequency of the atomic nuclei, it causes them to resonate and emit signals that can be detected and used to create images of the internal structures of the body.

What is Resonance is the response of a standing wave to another wave .?

Resonance is the phenomenon where an object or system vibrates at its natural frequency when exposed to a wave with the same frequency. This causes the amplitude of the vibrations to increase significantly, enhancing the response of the system to the external wave.
