Physics is of course limited to studying subjects that are amenable to that style of enquiry. It is not suitable to study poetry, philosophy, ethics or similar.

In addition, there are physical conditions to which we have no access at present, such as black holes, Neutron stars, Nova and so on, because our understanding of these processes, or the limitations of physics as we know it do not allow us these studies. [e.g. we only have limited access to the conditions at the Earth's core.] Clever scientists have however inferred the conditions necessary for nucleosynthesis.

And of course there are fundamental limits, such as finite speed of light.
