The quantity "force x distance" is called energy. Force is in general a Quaternion consisting of a scalar force f and a vector force F ( [f,F]); likewise "distance" scalar d and vector displacement D ( [d,D]).
The quantity [f,F][d,D] =[fd -F.D, fD + Fd + FxD] is called a Quaternion energy.
fd is the scalar energy, -F.D is the parallel scalar energy, fD and fD is the vector energy and FXD is the perpendicular vector energy.
Force x distance is energy and can change the energy content.
Its called Work. Quantity force times time is Impulse.....this is where most people gets confuse...
A size but no direction. Mass is a scalar but the force we call weight is a vector: it always points down.
The quantities that describes about only magnitude is called SCALAR quantity
Mechanical Advantage
it is called a resistive force
torque. Torque = force * moment arm

That's the "mechanical advantage" of the machine.
Mechanical Advantage
mechanical advantage. I promise
It is calibrating.

Posts ($_POST) is used to take information from a form to the next screen (passing it along). You name the feild and then that becomes the name you will call back. For example:The Name there is quantiy. Therefore when the feild is carried over you can call back the variable using:Ensure you use '' ( $_POST['quantity'] ) for statements and either use (int) or take them out for numbers:StatmentNumberAlso a Number
