I think you may mean BTU/hr. BTU means British Thermal Unit which is defined as the heat to raise 1 lb of water by 1 degF, so BTU/hr would mean so many BTU's per hour, which is a rate of energy flow. Home heating boilers are often rated in BTU/hr though they may more recently be rated in Kilowatts. 100,000 BTU/hr = 29.3 Kw.
