Your weight is a force. More specifically the force that keeps you from falling to the center of the Earth at this very moment! It is sometimes confused with mass because weight is often displayed in units of mass (i.e. the kilogram). Mass however does not change when you visit other planets, nor does it become zero in free fall as weight does.

But, a force is not equal to weight because a force is a more general thing. In particular there are four fundamental forces in our Universe: gravity, electromagnetism and the strong and weak nuclear forces.

Note that it is often the electromagnetic force that provides your weight; it is the electric repulsion between atoms that keeps you from falling into the floor!

What is unbalanced force in science?

An unbalanced force is a force that causes a change in an object's motion. When the forces acting on an object are not equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, the object will accelerate in the direction of the greater force. This can cause the object to speed up, slow down, change direction, or deform.

What kind of science does swimming have?

It is explained by the Newtons third law of motion. When you push the water backwards, equal and opposite force takes you forward

How do action-reaction explain how a rocket lifts off?

As a rocket burns fuel, it expels exhaust gases. When the gases are forced out of the rocket, they exert an equal and opposite force on the rocket. A rocket can rise into the air because the gases it expels with a downward force exert an equal but opposite force on the rocket. As long as this upward pushing force, called thrust, is greater than the downward pull of gravity, there is a net force in the upward direction. As a result, the rocket accelerates upwards.-information from Prentice Hall, Science Explorer: Physical Science
