There really are a lot of careers such as people the work in nuclear power plants, nuclear fusion research, reactor development etc. One common misconception is that all nuclear science deals with dangerous radioactive material. This is not the case however in fact most jobs within nuclear science do not deal directly with dangerous materials. Even if a job does deal directly with them, usually with all of the protective gear that you wear, your exposure rate while working would probably be less than a normal person in everyday life.

Hope this helps!! :)
