Both those wavelengths are in the infrared range, but... I think the question itself got garbled somewhere along the way, because if it said ten-millionths instead of millionths, that would be 700 nm - 400 nm ... just about exactly the range of wavelengths for visible light. In contrast, 7 micrometers and 4 micrometers are more or less random wavelengths in the IR range (which goes from about 0.7 micrometers all the way up to 100 micrometers).
Mechanical waves Electromagnetic waves Transverse waves Longitudinal waves
The frequency of the wave is 4 Hz. The wavelength of the wave is 5 meters. The amplitude of the wave is 1 meter (half of the total height).
The four fundamental forces of nature are gravity, electromagnetism, the weak nuclear force, and the strong nuclear force. Light itself is an electromagnetic wave, interacting mainly with electromagnetism.
I'm assuming by "waves" you mean "electromagnetic waves," since there are ocean waves and a few other waves that we can see too. We can also perceive sound waves, but cannot see them. The electromagnetic waves that we can see are called the "visibile lights." Their wavelength range from about 760 nm( 760*10^-9 m), bright red, to about 390 nm, bright violet. Their frequency range from about 4*10^14 Hz to 7.9*10^14 Hz, respectively. Infrared and Ultraviolet are NOT a part of visible light. No he means waves in the sea
The period of a 4 Hz wave is 0.25 seconds. Period is the time it takes for one complete cycle of a wave to occur. In this case, for a 4 Hz wave, the wave completes one full cycle every 0.25 seconds.
The waves add to form a 4-meter tall crest.
Four millionths is: 4/1,000,000 or .000004
Not sure what you mean by "standard form"; one way to write this is as 120 µm.

135 millionths = 0.000135 = 1.35 x 10-4 in standard form.
One millionth is 0.000001, so 700 millionths is 0.000700 or 0.0007, so in scientific notation 700 millionths is: 7.0 * 10^-4 .
One hundred six millionths (0.000106) in standard form is 1.06 × 10-4
Nine hundred seven millionths (0.000907) in standard form is 9.07 × 10-4
Two hundred thirty-seven millionths in scientific notation is 2.37 × 10-4
Nine hundred seventy-one millionths (0.000971) in standard form is 9.71 × 10-4
The 50 meter tape would be better as the margin of error would be smaller. example: if each measurement you take is off by 4 millionths of a meter by using the meter stick to measure a 100 meter length your measurement will be off by as much as 4 ten-thousanths of a meter or 0.40 millimeters whereas the 50 meter tape measurements will be off only 8 millionths of a meter or 0.008 millimeters.
