After reinstalling windows (Windows XP Pro) on my computer, i noticed my sound icon didnt show up so i went and open the volume control and the message indicated that there was no sound mixers installed. I also noticed when i opened device manager that there was a yellow icon right beside my sound driver ( C-MEDIA AC97 Audio Device). I tryed uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but it still done the same thing. I tried reseating the sound card and reinstalling the drivers, but nothing. I also tried installing a different sound driver but during the installation, the computer resets before it finishes. I installed ubuntu on the computer and the sound worked fine, i put windows (Windows Xp Pro) it doesn't work. Does anybody have any idea on what the problem could be?

What is the difference between sound power and sound pressure, and how do they relate to each other in the context of acoustics?

Sound power is the total amount of energy emitted by a sound source, while sound pressure is the force exerted by sound waves on a surface. In acoustics, sound power is the source of sound, and sound pressure is the measure of how that sound power is transmitted through a medium. Sound power and sound pressure are related in that sound power generates sound waves, which then create sound pressure as they travel through a medium.
