If it reversed suddenly, it'd be a disaster. Even if one would assume that the actual bedrock would be strong enough, all the water in every ocean and sea would slosh about something fierce. Civilization as we know it would collapse due to all the cities being destroyed.

Plants and wildlife would also take a serious hit due to all habitat destruction.

Luckily, there is no known way in which this might happen, so it's not worth worrying about.

What is upside down when it's the right way up?

The answer is "6". When the number 6 is rotated 180 degrees, it appears as a 9 which is upside down when compared to the original orientation.

Can the magnetism of the earth keep us on the earth like gravity?

No, the magnetism of the Earth does not keep us on the Earth in the same way that gravity does. Gravity is the force that attracts objects toward the center of the Earth, keeping us grounded. Earth's magnetic field, on the other hand, helps protect the planet from solar radiation and guides compass needles.

Why does Earth look blue from space?

Earth looks blue from space because of the way sunlight interacts with our atmosphere. The Earth's atmosphere scatters sunlight in all directions, but blue light is scattered more than other colors because it has a shorter wavelength. This scattering of blue light gives the Earth a blue appearance when viewed from space.

What are the differences between an eclipse and a new moon?

An eclipse occurs when the Earth, Moon, and Sun align in a way that the Moon blocks the Sun's light from reaching Earth, causing a temporary darkening of the sky. A new moon, on the other hand, is when the Moon is positioned between the Earth and the Sun, but not in alignment for an eclipse, resulting in the Moon being mostly invisible from Earth.

How do we know how the earth is moving and not the sun?

Scientists have observed the movement of stars in the sky to determine that the Earth is moving around the Sun, rather than the other way around. This is known as the heliocentric model, proposed by astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century.

The Greek scientist Aristarchus was the first person to suggest what?

He first suggested that the Earth (and the other planets that were then known) rotated around the Sun instead of the other way around.

What would have happened if the earth rotated from east to west?

If it had always rotated the other way things would probably be similar although the continents might not have identical shapes to what they are now *************************************** When a vehicle suddenly stops, the passengers are thrown forward - it is called momentum. If the earth suddenly reversed its spinning, the momentum of the worlds oceans would surge forward and completely wash over the land.

Where is the position of the earth sun in January if the earth rotated anti clockwise?

The Earth normally rotates anticlockwise as seen from the north. If you mean 'if the Earth rotates the opposite way', then its position in January (relative to the Sun) could be the same. The four seasons would also be roughly the same.

If you dig a hole from one side of the earth to the other side and you throw a titanium ball in the hole does it fall to the other side or will it balance in the middle gravity issue?

In reality, you couldn't dig a hole through the Earth; the core of the Earth is molten iron, and quite fluid. But if you COULD..... If you have a perfectly smooth tunnel clear through the Earth, then if you dropped a titanium (or any other material) in, it would fall, accelerating all the way, to the center. It would then rise, slowing down, until it ALMOST reached the surface on the other side. If the tunnel were in a vacuum, it would, almost exactly, reach the other end before falling back in. The one-way trip would take 82 minutes. Because of the rotation of the Earth, the ball would be banging or rolling along the wall of the tunnel as the ball fell and the Earth rotated around it.

When is the milky way going to crash into earth?

The solar system (the planets, the earth and the sun) is a part of the milky way, and rotates with the other stars the milky way consists of. The milky way is therefore not going to collide with the earth.

Why do you think Earth revolves around the Sun and not the other way around?

Earth revolves around the sun, and not the other way around, because the sun is several hundred thousand times more massive than Earth is.
