Elastic deformation means that while the force is applied to a body some deformation ( bending , streching , etc) will take place but as soon as the force is removed the body will return to its original shape with no defects.

Because that is the definition of "elastic limit"! How far you can stretch something without deformation. The reason it will deform is because the forces become too great, and the atoms change their position.

It means that if an object is stretched beyond a certain limit, it will break - or at least be deformed irreversibly.
