an unbalanced force
A net force from something outside of the system.
Force. It is a vector quantity that can accelerate an object, change its direction, or change its shape. It is necessary to overcome resistance and move an object.
To change the speed of an object, you need to apply a force to it. The magnitude of the force and the direction in which it is applied will determine how the speed changes. If the force is in the same direction as the motion, the object will accelerate; if the force opposes the motion, the object will decelerate.
Inertia is a measurement of the amount of energy needed either to start the object moving, or to slow down or stop its movement. This depends upon the mass (weight) of the object, but more particularly its change of speed. The greater the mass (weight) of the object the greater the amount of energy needed to move it and stop it.
A moveable pulley reduces the amount of input force needed to lift an object. By attaching the pulley to the object being lifted, the force needed to move the object is distributed between the pulling force and the weight of the object itself, making it easier to lift.

A change in position.
Change to an elevation view so you can see your object and then choose the move object option and move it up or down as needed.
