The amount of radioactive waste it produces. And the problem of disposing of that waste.
The radioactivity of the spent fuel, and the possibility of release to the surroundingsThe biggest concern about nuclear power is the possible meltdown of the reactor causing a massive release of radiation material into the atmosphere.
Nope. Nuclear power is very enviromentally friendly and very efficient, but accidents can cause great damages. For instance, one of the major problems with the tsunami in Japan was all the nuclear plants that were destroyed.
Advantages of nuclear power in India include low carbon emissions, large energy generation capacity, and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. Disadvantages include high initial investment costs, long construction timelines, and concerns about safety and waste disposal.
this may or may not be true but my opinion is that people are afraid of nuclear disasters suchas the ones that took place in chernoble, kyshtym, windscale fire, &Tokaimura. They all had nuclear accidents and many people believe more people died than the ones 'recorded' dead as a result of the toxic exposure.......you should look them up.
About 70% of France's electricity is generated from nuclear power, making it one of the largest users of nuclear energy in the world. France has 56 nuclear reactors in operation across 19 nuclear power plants.
The main one is to ensure that the fuel never becomes damaged by excessive temperature

No but the U.S. is the strongest nuclear power.

There seem to be three main strands to this: one that conventional energy sources are mainly in unsettled areas of the world and therefore possibly unsure in the future, two that nuclear power does not contribute to global warming, and three that many existing nuclear plants are quite old and will eventually have to be decommissioned, probably due to concerns about pressure vessel integrity, and therefore will need to be replaced by new plants unless more coal is to be used.
That is unknown, but one of the concerns is that they may supply them to terrorists.
There are several reasons for the limited growth of nuclear power compared to fossil fuel plants. One reason is the high cost of building and decommissioning nuclear facilities. Concerns about nuclear accidents and waste disposal also contribute to the reluctance to expand nuclear power. Additionally, the time it takes to build a nuclear plant and the availability of alternative energy sources play a role in the decision-making process.
an increase in concerns about nuclear waste management and the potential for catastrophic accidents. The long-lived radioactive waste generated poses significant storage and environmental challenges, leading to public apprehension. Additionally, incidents like Fukushima and Chernobyl have heightened fears regarding the safety of nuclear facilities. These factors contribute to the ongoing debate about the viability and future of nuclear energy as a sustainable power source.
