There are a few drawbacks to solar energy. One main drawback is the sun only shines for a half a day and there is not any really good way to store it up during the day to use at night. Then of course even during the day clouds may block the sun. The other drawback is that the methods use to convert the solar energy (solar panels) are very inefficient. That means you need an awfull lot of them to get a usefull amount of energy. This takes up a lot of space and it also adds to the cost. Even though the sun's energy is free it still costs more (for now) to convert solar energy to electricity then it does to convert chemical energy from oil, gas or coal.
Solar energy is renewable energy derived from the sun's radiation, which can be converted into electricity or heat using solar panels or solar thermal systems. It is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly source of energy that is abundant and widely available.
solar energy
Wind energy and solar energy are related but distinct sources of renewable energy. Wind energy is generated by harnessing the movement of air through turbines, while solar energy is captured from the sun's rays using photovoltaic cells. Both sources play a critical role in the transition to a more sustainable energy system.
Solar energy.
Solar energy is renewable energy and is environmentally friendly
No, solar energy is a renewable energy source that relies on the sun's radiation, which is a virtually inexhaustible resource. As long as the sun continues to shine, we can harness solar energy to generate electricity through solar panels.
Several sources of energy can be traced back to the Sun, including solar energy, which is harnessed directly from sunlight using solar panels. Wind energy is also solar-derived, as wind patterns are created by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface by the Sun. Additionally, biomass energy originates from plants that photosynthesize, capturing solar energy and converting it into chemical energy. Lastly, hydroelectric power is influenced by solar energy as it drives the water cycle, leading to evaporation and precipitation.
Yes it can. Solar energy replenishes the ozone layer.

The flow of solar energy is considered a one-way traffic because once solar energy is converted into another form of energy, like electricity, it cannot be completely restored back to its original form due to the second law of thermodynamics. This means that once solar energy is used, it cannot be recycled back into its original state.
A question about solar energy could be: what is solar energy?: what does solar energy do?:does solar energy do anything for the earth/planet?
Battery back up.
Most of it is reflected back into space.
the suns energy is solar energy because sun means solar so solar energy is from the sun
Solar systems get their energy from the sun. Solar energy is captured by a solar panel, or collector. This panel converts solar energy to electrical energy.
Yes, solar energy is expected to continue to grow in America due to decreasing costs, increasing efficiency of solar technology, and rising concerns about climate change. Federal and state incentives are also helping to drive adoption of solar energy across the country.
The benefits are that it is free as you produce solar energy from the sun, it is environmental friendly as you do not burn, gas, coal or fuel to produce it, and if you produce extra energy you can feed this back in the national grid and get paid for it
