The answer to the question varies from species to species. In case of Humans it is 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. But some other organisms especially animals of prey have very accute sense of hearing and they can listen to very faint and diffused sounds. For example Dogs have a very acute auditory sense and so they can discern sounds of even higher than 20,000 Hz.

The average person with undamaged hearing can detect vibrations in a range from approximately 20 hz to 20,000 hz. Damage to hearing from age, disease, or exposure to loud sounds can reduce this range, especially in the higher frequencies.

What do you mean by audible frequency wave?

That means a wave with a frequency somewhere between roughly 20 Hz and 20 KHz.If it's not in that frequency range, then you can't hear it even if it hits you square inthe ear, so it's not 'audible'.

What is the range of the human ear?

The audible range varies with age and noise exposure. In frequency, it runs from about 20Hz to about 20 000Hz.In loudness it runs from below 0dB, up to about 120dB.Note since these are average figures, one-half of the folk have more sensitive hearing, and one-half have less sensitive.

What is effect of noise on digital communication system?

it will affect the output of a receiver only if it falls within the passband.in that case, the carrier and noise voltage will mix and the difference frequency,if audible, will interfere with the reception of the wanted signal..
