Matter is always in the form of particles (atoms, molecules, etc.). For it to flow, the atoms have to move from one place to another. Energy can move from some matter to other matter without moving the matter. Example: an ice cube warming up but not yet melting has energy flowing into it, but matter is not flowing. When it starts to melt, matter (in the form of water molecules) flows out.

What are the two major topics studied by a physicist?

Matter and energy

How does energy help to change the state of matter?

Heat (thermal energy) is the major reason for state change in matter. (Although ambient pressure modifies that at the liquid/vapor boundary.) Basically as energy increases matter moves from solid to liquid to gas to plasma.

How is kinetic energy related to the states of matter?

Average kinetic energy on an atomic or molecular scale is what we perceive as temperature, and temperature is a major determinant of phase (along with pressure, which is the other major determinant).

What is the major science that studies forces motion and energy and effects on matter?

Physics is the major science that studies forces, motion, energy, and their effects on matter. It seeks to understand the fundamental principles that govern the behavior of the physical world, from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies.

Catholic versus Buddhist, Communist versus Democracy and the constants of poor versus rich, haves versus have nots, land owner versus peasant.

What are the 3 major reasons why earth continue to exist?

The Earth continues to exist because of MATTER CYCLING, ENERGY AND GRAVITY

The 2 major branches of physical science are?

The two major branches of physical science are physics and chemistry. Physics deals with the study of matter, energy, and the interactions between them, while chemistry focuses on the composition, structure, properties, and changes of matter.

What are the different types of prisons?

riots and other major disturbances, inmate assaults on staff, staff assaults on inmates, inmates versus inmates, sexual victimization, self-inflicted violence.

What is phiysics?

It is a major branch of science. It was mainly started by the famous scientist, Isaac Newton. Physics is based on matter, motion, energy and force.

riots and other major disturbances, inmate assaults on staff, staff assaults on inmates, inmates versus inmates, sexual victimization, self-inflicted violence.

What are the two major subdivision of matter?

The two major subdivisions of matter are pure substances and mixtures. Pure substances are made of only one type of atom or molecule, while mixtures are made of two or more different substances physically combined.
