Because there are a pair of equal gravitational forces between every two masses,

and they act along the line between the centers of the masses. The line between

the center of the Earth and the center of you is the direction toward the ground,

so that's where things fall toward when you let them go.

An objects weight is what makes it fall. Weight is an objects mass multiplied by the strength of the gravitational field it is in. So an object with mass is in free fall when it is in a gravitational field.

So gravity causes objects to fall freely.

it falls because of gravity since there is gravity on earth it falls

in the outer space it wouldn't fall because there is no gravity
