Almost always oxidation,
the speed of the reaction is the big difference between fire and explosions
(and slower yet - the "respiration" reactions that keep you alive).

Fire grows in 3 dimensions, therefore it is going to increase rapidly as time goes by. Furthermore, as the temperature increases, things burn quicker, and there can be explosions
heat and fire and explosions from its source in the middle exploding and eventualy run out shrinks, turns white then creates a super Nova (very big boom). :-)
Sure. Really loud explosions can be heard half a world away.
Not necessarily. Many of the explosions we are familiar with involve high-temperature chemical reactions, which do release light. Explosions at lower temperature, such as steam explosions, do not produce light.
.... In my pants? All the time, baby. ;)
It buzzes and powers sh*t then it creates nuclear explosions in your face and kills you

Fire, explosions, burns. And don't inhale the gas.
Nuclear explosions are the result of splitting the atom. It is actually what powers the sun.
The Buncefield fire which happened in Hertfordshire England in 2005 was a huge fire caused by multiple explosions. The fire wasn't put out for hours after it started.
When somthing catches on fire the fire actually causes it to be on fire, like a nuke, for instance (i got a little crazy by saying nuke, i like explosions)
fire or explosions
Hephaestus's powers are metal working fire. He is also the god of fire forges and volcanoes.
