Ethanol is generally considered a renewable fuel. Brazil is the world's second largest producer of ethanol fuel (behind the United States) and the world's largest exporter. To a lesser degree, Brazil also uses biodiesel, bio-generated methane, and combustible biomass as energy sources - accounting for up to 25% of its energy needs.
