Yes, having a sewing needle embedded in the foot could be dangerous if you were to have an MRI. The magnetic field of the MRI machine could cause the needle to move or potentially injure the surrounding tissue. It is important to inform your healthcare provider or the MRI technologist if you have a foreign object in your body before undergoing an MRI.
MRI uses radiofrequency electromagnetic waves to create detailed images of the body's internal structures.
Before the hair dryer was invented, people used a clothing iron to dry their hair by passing it over wet hair on a low heat setting. This method was not very safe or efficient compared to modern hair dryers.
MRI machines use radio waves to magnetize the hydrogen atoms in the body. When the radio waves are turned off, the hydrogen atoms release energy in the form of radio waves that are detected by the MRI machine to create an image of the internal structures of the body.
Glass was used before film was invented.

Yes, MRI studies are more enhanced today, thanks to the new technology that people keep on inventing. We can certainly see and identify more problems, if there are any, than when the MRI scan was first used and invented. :)
No. It is not a treatment it is a scan. An MRI is a Magnetic Resonance Imaging. MRI are used for imaging tissues.
Not always. Before a routine MRI scan no GFR test is needed. Some MRI scans will require an injection of a drug (contrast) which is used to highlight different aspects of blood supply. There is a small risk of this contrast affecting kidney function so some MRI centres test kidney function before administration. One such test is GFR
they are used when you are sick.

Before buying a MRI scanner you will want to know how much you have to spend, what features you are desiring and which models have those features, what will the scanner be used for (extremities, head, full body), what are the dimensions of the room it will be used in and what are the reviews/ratings/reliability of the various brands/models.
