Just look in any science book and you'll get your answer. I keep trying to search up what it means but i have no luck what so ever and i have a test on it tomorrow. i recommend a 7th or 8th grade science book. That's about all i could get.

From Holt Science & Technology: The force distance trade off. When a machine changes the size of the force, the distance through which the force is exerted must also change. Force or distance can increase, but not together. When one increases, the other must decrease. This is because the work output is never greater than the work input.

I take no credit from the first or second paragraph.
