Depends on how severe the shockwave is- At very high energy levels, you would be thrown through the air. At extremely high levels, the air sacs in your lungs would be ruptured from the force, resulting in death. At higher levels, your body would be torn apart. A low levels, you could have your hearing damaged, be stunned.

What would it feel like if you are piloting a jet fighter plane and then you got hit by a missile I know you would be dead but what would it feel like in the explosion?

The human brain requires at least a moment of time to process the signals that indicate severe injury, and it often requires more than just a moment. Someone getting blown up by a missile would be unlikely to have enough time to feel more than perhaps a sensation of shock, before losing consciousness and dying.

What would happen to the three forms of water if you hit them with a hammer?

If you hit solid ice with a hammer, it may shatter into smaller pieces. Liquid water would disperse under the force of the impact. Steam, as a gas, would not be affected by a hammer.

How does nuclear power hurt when it explodes?

A nuclear power station can not create a nuclear explosion. What CAN happen is that hydrogen could build up inside of the containment dome and if the build up becomes too intense, it can cause a hydrogen explosion, like the one in Japan recently. This explosion is dangerous only if you are close to it and are hit by the concussion or by the debris that is flying from the explosion. If this explosion is too large, it can damage the containment dome surrounding the reactor and this, in turn, releases some radioactive gases.

What would happen if you pt the nail on a piece of wood and hit it with the hammer?

If you hit the nail with the hammer, it will drive into the wood, securing the two pieces together. The force from the hammer will cause the nail to penetrate the wood, creating a strong connection between them.

What would it look like if two nukes hit each other in midair?

Really, it would not look like much. In order for a nuclear weapon to produce a nuclear detonation, the sequence of actions must happen in a very precise manner. A mid air collision would be likely to damage both, with the result that no nuclear explosion would take place. The high explosive triggers might detonate, giving a fairly small bang, and scattering parts of the weapons, but no earth shattering kaboom (apologies to Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian)

What would happen if an atomic bomb hit the earth's core?

If an atomic bomb were to hit the Earth's core, it would likely not cause a catastrophic chain reaction or destroy the core itself. The core is composed of molten iron and nickel, which are extremely dense and would absorb much of the energy from the explosion without significantly affecting the Earth's overall structure.

Can there be an after shock after being hit in the head?

Yes, this is called a concussion. When you get hit in the head your brain can sometimes hit the inside of your skull which causes a concussion or after shock.

Why do bumpers have spring-load shock abosorbers?

Bumbers have shock absorbers on them to absorb the shock of a minor impact (5mph) without causing significant damage to the car or the object hit. So, if you backed into a concrete wall while parking, the bumper would move with the shock absorbers - you might get a scuff on the paint; but if there was no shock absorber, the bumper or the mounting brackets would get bent (or the wall would break).
