Best Answer

The structure of the house will store some thermal energy, more so if it is built of bricks or concrete blocks than wood. The method of heating will probably store some energy, in water filled radiators or underfloor heating, and there may also be a store of hot water depending on the system installed.

Different kinds of energy are stored in many different ways; sometimes it is hard to pinpoint an exact position: for example, gravitational potential energy depends on the relative position of two objects, and can't be said to be stored in one or the other of the objects involved.

Kinetic energy is just the energy of movement. You might say it is stored in the moving or rotating object.

Chemical energy is a type of potential energy. It depends on the relative position of the atoms.

A coil (inductance) can store energy; it is usually considered that the energy is stored in the magnetic field it sets up.

A capacitor stores energy in its plates.

Nuclear energy, once again, is potential energy - related to the relative position of the nucleons.

Heat is a kind of kinetic energy - energy of movement. But this energy is disorganized; atoms and molecules move around more or less randomly.
