This is due to electrification process. As we rub the comb along with hair, the molecues in the comb would lose some electrons to the hair. This happens due to friction. So comb due to lack of negatively charged electrons becomes positively charged. Same time hair gaining electrons becomes negatively charged.

Now as we keep this charged comb close to a bit of paper, then by electrostatic induction opposite charges here negative electrons are pulled towards it. So paper gets negative charge momentarily. Hence force of attraction between unlike charges. So paper bit gets attracted.

Why does a comb drawn through hair attract a tiny piece of paper?

If a comb drawn through (dry) hair attracts a tiny piece of paper, it is almost certainly due to static electricity. We know that when some things are "rubbed" on other things, electrical charges can be displaced. A difference of potential is set up between two objects by moving charges from one object to another. And the difference of potential can, through electrostatic force, cause what is observed here.

When you rub comb on dry hair why I t attracts small piece of paper?

When you rub a comb on dry hair, it generates static electricity. This static charge causes the comb to attract small pieces of paper because the paper bits become negatively charged, while the positively charged comb attracts them.

What color is transmitted through a orange transparent piece of paper?

The color that is transmitted through an orange transparent piece of paper would be mainly orange, as the paper is designed to allow orange light to pass through while absorbing other colors.

What are the forces when you pick up a piece of paper?

When you pick up a piece of paper, the forces involved are gravity pulling the paper downward, your hand applying an upward force to lift the paper, and the normal force of the paper against your hand preventing it from falling through.

How did mom have two of her children stand on same piece of paper without touching one another?

The mom had one child stand on the paper and draw an outline around their feet. Then, the second child stood within the outline drawn by the first child, allowing both children to "stand" on the same piece of paper without physically touching each other.

What is example of adhesion?

Adhesion is when a molecule attracts to a different substance. An example of this is when one end of a piece of paper towel is dipped into a glass of water. They water will climb up the fibers of the paper.

How does a piece of paper absorb water?

Paper is made from fibers such as cellulose, which have many tiny spaces between them. When water comes into contact with paper, these spaces act like small capillaries, allowing the water to be drawn into the paper through a process called capillary action, where water moves due to the forces between the water and the cellulose fibers.
