"Darker colors absorb heat whereas lighter colors reflect them."
This is almost correct, however colors do not absorb anything. Colors are the result of radiations reflection. So basically, if a shirt is black that means most of the radiation (sun radiation that is hitting it) is being absorbed by it and not reflected (think of a black hole for example, and why they are "black"), therefore heating more than a white one. A white shirt means that a big part of radiation is being reflected , and therefore less absorbed. And then, cooler.
Hope this was more clear
Light colored clothes are cooler to wear in the summer than dark colors because lighter colors do not absorb as much heat as darker colors.
because, lets say I wore a black shirt on a hot summers day the blackness will suck in all of the heat and keep it and you'll get very hot but with the light coloured shirts the beams reflect of the lets say baby blue shirt and you're nice and cool :)
Light-colored clothes reflect more sunlight, while dark-colored clothes absorb more heat. This means that light-colored clothes don't absorb as much heat from the sun, keeping you cooler on hot days compared to dark clothes which can make you feel hotter.
Light-colored clothes reflect more sunlight and absorb less heat compared to dark-colored clothes, which absorb more sunlight and heat up faster. This can help keep you cooler in hot weather by reducing the amount of heat absorbed by your clothing.
Light-colored clothes reflect more sunlight and heat away from the body, helping to keep you cooler. Dark-colored clothes absorb more sunlight and heat, trapping it close to the body and causing you to feel hotter. This is due to the difference in how colors interact with sunlight and heat.
Dark colors absorb more heat because they absorb a wider spectrum of light, including infrared radiation, which carries heat. Light colors, on the other hand, reflect more light and heat, which helps keep them cooler. This is why wearing light-colored clothes can be more comfortable in hot weather.

People prefer light coloured clothes in the summertime, because lighter colours reflect sunlight, while darker colours absorb it. In the summertime, people do in fact want to stay cool, so they prefer lighter coloured clothes.
We don't wear black clothes in the summer because black colour is very hot piece of clothing and white is the type of colour of clothing you should wear for summer.

White (or lighter colors) reflects light while black (or darker colors) absorbs it as heat.
Light nail polish is better for the summer because in summer you are more likely to wear light coloured clothes (to keep you cooler as the heat reflects light colours and absorbs dark colours) so the nail varnish will probably match your clothes and not clash.
No. Black holds heat and paler colors will keep you cooler. I live in an area that gets 105+ in the summer and always get light color cars for that reason and make sure I wear light weight light colored clothing in the summer.
It is generally cooler under a light colored translucent awning because it reflects more sunlight and heat, whereas a dark colored opaque awning absorbs more heat. The light color allows more light to pass through while reducing heat absorption, making the area underneath the awning cooler.
welll thin is y peeps say this....... the color white on hot days are good because white reflects heat coming on ur cloth then u wont feel as hot as much if u wear black it will absorb heat and make u hot
