Balloons pop in hot air because the plastic expands to the point were there is a small hole... Lol im just joshing you I have no idea.

The real reason a balloon pops in hot air is because... the gas particles inside the ballon are getting energyfrom the hot air so they move around more which means they need more space. So the balloon expends (because the space in between the particles has increased) to the point that there is no way the balloon can expand anymore so it has to pop!

Can a bow and arrow pop a hot air balloon?

Not really, only small balloons will "pop". Hot air balloons that are large enough to carry people will lose air ( & lift) when the balloon is penetrated or torn. Does a hot air balloon have helium inside it?

Hot air balloons do not use helium; they are typically filled with hot air. Helium is non-flammable and more commonly used in other types of balloons like weather balloons or party balloons. The hot air inside a hot air balloon is what allows it to rise and float.
