This is the best answer I can think of...

In the sunlight, balloons receive energy from the infa-red radiation from the sun. pV=nRT... ie. for a balloon at roughly the same pressure, volume is proportional to temperature. This means that if temperature increases, volume of the balloon increases and so it pops.
