We use foam rubber to stop condesation of water from the surface of pipe.
You can insulate the hot water pipes with spiral-wrap fiberglass insulation, foam tube insulation, or fiberglass pipe covers. These will all help reduce heat loss.
Foam wrap can reduce radiation and conduction because it is not a very good heat conductor.
Bubble wrap. Aluminum is a good conductor of heat and will help the temperature equalize. Bring to room temperature. Bubble wrap is an insulator and insulating. The trapped air space in the bubbles work like the insulation in your attic. It is basically REAL BIG foam insulation.
House wrap is mainly used to cover cracks and other damage in brick walls to help stop heat escaping. Insulation is a foam or fiber glass that is often used in attics or lofts to stop heat escaping through the roof.
Yes (if you haven't burst all the bubbles).

It's colder in the basement than the water coming in the pipes. Seal up the vents and drafts in the basement. Wrap the pipes
you dumb boy!!

It is a ball of rubber bands. You wrap more and more on to it.
No. None of them are rubber.
So long as the water does not freeze there is not much to worry about however if you think that they will freeze up you would be well advised to empty them. water expands when frozen and is able to even split metal pipes.
the purpose if rubber bands is the elastic, for example if you need to wrap somthing up you can use a rubber band
The high-pitched sounds you hear are the upper harmonics of water hammer, and flushing the toilet without adding enough toilet paper to absorb the squealing sound. Without toilet paper in the pipes, they will vibrate and possibly crack the solder in the pipe joints. If you really want to do yourself a favor, wrap ALL the water pipe joints in high density foam rubber (HDFR - plumbing supply shops provide these in assorted colors to mark off different areas - kitchen, bathroom, garage, etc.).
Well, you could try those Styrofoam "chips" used as packaging in shipping and strips/squares of bubble wrap.
styrofoam ,bubble wrap ,polyurethane foam, fleece ,aluminiaum.
