Thomas Alva Edison was born in America on Feb.11 1847 and died Oct.18 1931. He was great American Inventor and business man. His inventions include the phonograph (1879), kinetoscope (1888) which led to a film projector (1896) and although he is most famously linked with inventing the electric light bulb in effect he only improved an invention making it into a household item.
Thomas Edison didn't invent the lightbulb overnight; it took him over a year of experimenting with different materials and designs before he finally patented the first commercially viable incandescent lightbulb in 1879. So in total, it took him about a year.
If Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb, another inventor may have eventually succeeded in creating a similar device. The development of electric lighting was driven by a need for safer and more efficient light sources, so it is likely that someone else would have eventually filled that gap. The impact on society may have been delayed, but the transition to electric lighting would likely have still occurred.
Edison's invention of the light bulb is famous because it revolutionized the way people lived by providing a reliable and practical source of artificial light. It transformed industries, work environments, and daily life, improving productivity and safety. Edison's light bulb was a significant advancement in technology that had a lasting impact on society.
Actually, Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb, Michael Faraday did. However, the lightbulb used low voltage and a platinum wire. Edison wanted to bring electricity from a generator over wires into peoples' homes and have light bulbs work there. So Edison needed a lightbulb that would use a filament at high temperature and high voltage. Edison had to create the entire system: generator, wires, meters, fuses, and bulbs. Then he could sell light bulbs and electricity. He did not just invent one item, but the entire system.
Edison did not invent the first electric light bulb, but instead invented the first commercially practical incandescent light. He therefore just improved on other peoples work.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thomas Edison invented the light bulb because people needed it to see in the dark and so he could become a successful man.
thomas Edison like to invent so many things
I think so
Because he could.
thomas Edison was an inventoe so inventions were happening
Thomas Edison invented things so we can survive.Thomas Edison has guaranteed things for us to live.
hey whats up? i just wanted to ask What did Thomas Edison invent in 1872? so...yea bye now
yes because his parents was to old and that was his first invent that he did and so his parents died that is what i think
Thomas Edison didn't actually invent the electric chair but, paid Harold P. Brown to. It was invented because Thomas Edison's competitor Nikola Tesla had AC electricty (Edison had DC) and AC was cheaper but, more dangerous. Thomas Edison wanted people to know this (so more people would choose his over Tesla's) so he had it made and electrocuted William Kemmler (who had chopped up his wife and was sent to perison). this was called the war of currents
Benjamin Franklin did not invent the light bulb. He conducted experiments with electricity. Thomas Edison was the inventor of the light bulb. However, as with most inventions, Edison built upon the work of others.
because he was bored and had nothing better to do so he thought he would be cool and make a lightbulb for the bant! __ He didn't invent the light bulb. Edison improved upon the lightbulb.
There is no such thing as Edison's Renegade Currency. Thomas Edison tried to re-invent the dollar but the government would not allow it, so it never happened. These days Bitcoin is called a renegade currency.
Thomas Edison did not complete school , so he has not gone to college.
