Pressure is a measure of force over an area. In SI units it's measured in Pascals.

Pressure (Pascals) = Force (Newtons) / Area (square metres)

A "sharp" pin has a smaller area in contact with the wall as you try to push it in so the pressure on the wall will be greater for the same force. It'll feel easier to push it in.
