Why is it important that you increase the use of energy from renewable sources?

Because when you depend on energy sources which are not renewable and they run out, you are (for lack of a better descriptive and effective term) screwed.
However, dependence on renewable sources means you will hypothetically never run out of energy and renewable sources are typically cheap; the only cost is the initial setup and maintenance.

∙ 14y agoBecause the cost of non renewable energy is being pushed up. as a result of this renewable energy which at this stage is expensive to produce suddenly becomes more competitive. so it then gets produced and sold. As a result of this the technology behind it is improved and the price eventually goes down until it replaces the old fuel.

∙ 13y agoIf you increase the amount of energy provided by renewable resources, then you decrease the amount that you need to depend on non-renewable sources. The goal is to use wind and solar energy sources in place of fossil fuels, such as coal and oil. Coal and oil fuels are not only being, rapidly, depleted, but using them cause air and ground pollution.
