This is because when somehting travels very fast, time slows down for that object, for example, if two babies were born at exactly the same and one was imediatly put on a rocket and blasted into space at the speed of light and the other stayed behind on earth, when the rocket came back the baby may have only aged by a month or so and the baby on earth would have aged by 50 years or so, i do not know why this happens however Einstein did a lot of theory work into this area and may be included in either of his theories of relativity

Why do you age slower the faster you travel?

According to Einstein's theory of relativity, time actually slows down the faster an object moves. This is known as time dilation. So, if you were travelling close to the speed of light, time would pass more slowly for you relative to someone who is stationary, causing you to age slower.
