Good question. The Humbolt current from Alaska brings very cold water southward along the California coast. When you see Californians Surfing they are wearing wetsuits because the water is very cold. Cold water means dry air above, so the westward airflow is very dry. On the East Coast, the Gulf stream brings very warm water northwards. While the Gulf of Mexico supplies moisture that the cool dry air coming from the West precipitates as rain. "Tornado Alley" is also the result of that weather pattern.

The sun rises in the east, so shadow will fall to the west
Britain's nuclear power stations were built on the west coast due to historical reasons, such as the availability of cooling water from the sea and proximity to population centers. This location also reduces the risk of radioactive contamination spreading over densely populated areas in case of an accident. However, newer nuclear power stations are being built inland to diversify the locations.
If something is being carried by westerlies, it is moving from west to east. Westerlies are prevailing winds that flow from the west to the east in the mid-latitudes.
The east coast is on the east and the west coast is on the west.
No. Denver is not on any coast. It is in the Midwest and is closer to the west coast than the east coast.
The West Coast of North America typically has warmer water than the East Coast.

India's west coast has always been calmer than its turbulent east coast. It could be due to the waters, along with the number of islands that separate the west coast from the east coast of Africa.
You generally find older crust on the east coast compared to the west coast. This is because the east coast tends to have continental crust, which is thicker and older than the oceanic crust found on the west coast.
It is smoother because the wind and waves are stronger on the west side.
Florida is in the South East coast. California is in the West coast.
This is not true. It is not colder on the west coast of the US than the east coast. I am in California and it was 82 degrees yesterday, but the east coast has 7 feet or more of snow. Maybe you are not asking about the US.
