A motor vibrates because of uneven weight distribution.

When a motor spins, whatever it is spinning creates centrifugal force. The heavier portion will apply more force and slightly shift the motor. However, this is quickly counteracted by the same heavy portion applying force in another direction. Too much weight on one side will cause problems for a motor. Think of a laundry machine during spin cycle with all clothes stacked on the same side.
