Sound cannot travel in a vacuum (empty space) because there is no medium through which soundwaves can travel upon. This is why if you were to scream in space no sound would be made (well except maybe in your mind! ha!) well anyways, that is also why the Star Wars movies, and some other sci-fi movies that have laser fights in space are innaccurate because no sound would be made from the lasers (also because there is no gravity in empty space the vehicles would move much differently...but that is a whole new concept!) Anyways, so sound needs a medium to travel and so far, no medium has been found.... THAT IS LEFT TO BE DISCOVERED!!!! YEAH!!!!
Sound cannot travel through a vacuum as it needs a medium, such as air, water, or solid material, to propagate. In a vacuum, there are no particles for sound waves to travel through, so the speed of sound is essentially zero.
sound can not be in a vacuum because a vacuum has no air. Sound needs a medium to travel though. :)
Sound does not travel in a vacuum because it requires a medium, such as air or water, to propagate. In the absence of a medium, there is no material for sound waves to travel through, so sound cannot travel up or down in a vacuum.
The speed of sound cannot be measured in a vacuum because there is no medium for sound waves to travel through in a vacuum. Sound requires a medium such as air, water, or solids to propagate.
The velocity of sound in vacuum is 0 m/s because sound requires a medium, such as air or water, to travel through. In the absence of a medium, sound waves cannot propagate and therefore, there is no velocity of sound in vacuum.

Space is a vacuum. Sound cannot travel in vacuum
No: worst. Sound cannot travel though a vacuum.

sound can't travel through a vacuum. or a place without air.
No, sound cannot travel in a vacuum. Sound moves by vibrating particles of a solid, liquid, or a gas. Since there are no particles in a vacuum, sound cannot travel through it.
Sound does not travel through a vacuum.
An atmosphere. Sound cannot travel in a vacuum.
