It depends on your definition of renewable sources. Dams and the reservoirs that supply them take up alot of space, solar panel take up alot more space with less output, windmills also require alot of room and nowhere near the output of a large hydroelectric dam. A dam puts out alot of power all the time while solar and wind are not available all the time. Nuclear is a "renewable" source as some make their own fuel with no pollution from the plant during the generation process, but the fuel has to be disposed of.

How does renewable source provide energy?

Wind, water, solar and other renewable sources of power can all be harnessed to generate electricity.

Most of the energy resources used to generate electricity are renewable.?

No. Most of the energy resources used to generate electricity are non-renewable, like the burning of coal, oil and natural gas. Hydro power and nuclear power are the only important renewable sources. Wind and solar are not yet valid sources of power.

Can renewable energy sources generate large amounts of electricity?

Sure they can. Hydro power for instance can have huge capacity.

What should generate electricity for recharging batteries?

Renewable sources of energy such as solar, wind, or hydropower are commonly used to generate electricity for recharging batteries. These sources are sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives to fossil fuels.

Is hybrid electricity renewable or nonrenewable?

Hybrid electricity produced in a hybrid car like a Prius is generated from a small gasoline motor. When you use any electricity to run a motor you use it up. It is not renewable. Renewable means it comes back by itself, like sunshine or wind or waves on the beach. All these are renewable and can be used to generate electricity. But all electricity is non-renewable.

Which of the choices listed is a source of electricity production?

Hydroelectric power plants, solar panels, and wind turbines are all sources of electricity production. They harness renewable energy sources such as water, sunlight, and wind to generate electricity.

What 4 things can be used to generate electricity?

Four things that can be used to generate electricity are fossil fuels (such as coal, oil, and natural gas), renewable sources (such as solar, wind, and hydropower), nuclear power, and geothermal energy.

What are renewable energy sources in Scotland?

Renewable energy sources in Scotland include wind power, hydroelectric power, solar power, and biomass. Scotland has vast potential for these sources due to its strong winds, abundant water resources, and suitable solar exposure. The country aims to generate 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020.

Can you use energy sources in a sentence?

How about: 'Energy sources are essential for an industrial economy'

What are the natural sources of electricity?

Natural sources of electricity include sunlight (solar power), wind (wind power), flowing water (hydroelectric power), and geothermal heat (geothermal power). These sources provide renewable and sustainable ways to generate electricity without relying on fossil fuels.

What is the cleanest way to make electricity?

One of the cleanest ways to generate electricity is through renewable sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower. These sources produce minimal or no greenhouse gas emissions, making them environmentally friendly options for generating electricity.

Which of the most and least used to generate electricity why?

The most used sources to generate electricity globally are coal and natural gas due to their abundance and efficiency. On the other hand, renewable sources like solar and wind are among the least used due to their intermittent nature and initial cost barriers. However, the trend is shifting towards increased reliance on renewable sources due to environmental concerns and technological advancements.
