If some one can help! I live in Indiana. Bought a perenial flower from local nursery last year. This year it blooms nice & want to buy more & went back to the same local nursery but they don't remember the name. Only way I can explain, it might be in same family as Obedient plant & salvia. The one I have is very tall about 5 ft tall-has hot red pink flower & also has square stem. I know obedient plant & salvia plant. The one I have is not neither. I have pictures of it but don't how to attach here. Thanks.
Peonies are perennials. Single plants have been known to live over 100 years old.
Perennial plants are the type that come back year after year. They typically have a longer lifespan compared to annual plants, with some perennials regrowing from the same roots or base each year. Examples of perennial plants include roses, peonies, and hostas.
Hops are perennials.
perennials
There are many types of peonies and they have different numbers of petals. Single peonies have between 5 to 12 petals. Other peonies have multiple rows of petals.
Perennials are any plants that return each year as the same plant(IE not an offspring of the plant from the previous season). Perennials are typically used in gardens to provide the "body" of the garden. A look that will return each year. With annuals dispersed within to provide little changes each year. Examples include Agave Bleeding Heart Forget-me-not Garlic-chives (and thousands upon thousands of others)
They are perennials. They are very hardy plants!

Yes, dahlias are perennials in zone 6.
Peonies need a period of cold to flower so in most temperate climates you can grow peonies.
Both are flowers.
