Yes, there are still plantations in 2014. The plantations are not the same as plantations were in the slave days.
Some of the plantations still standing today in America include Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana, known for its iconic alley of oak trees, and Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina, famous for its historic buildings and scenic drives. Additionally, Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's estate in Virginia, and the Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson, also serve as preserved historical sites. Many of these plantations now operate as museums, offering tours that educate visitors about their complex histories.
if slavery was still legal today in the united states of America, i personally think the the whole nation would hate each other. the northerners would still be against slavery, and the southerners would still have plantations for slaves to work on. the nation would be in a major crisis if slavery was legal today.
yes and no some plantations don't have it
The answer is "Sharecropper" or African Americans (or I guess whites too) still working on plantations. :)

'''Slavery does exist today, in many countries in Africa and Asia. Most of it doesn't look like the plantation slavery of the antebellum South in America, though some of that does exist, especially on cocoa plantations in Africa. Slavery today often consists of women or children sold into slavery as domestic servants or for prostitution. '''
