To encourage an amaryllis to bloom a second time, you need to provide proper care after its initial bloom. After the flowers fade, cut the flower stalk back and continue to water and fertilize the plant while it grows foliage. Once the leaves have developed, keep the plant in a bright location and allow it to photosynthesize for several months. After the growing season, reduce watering, let the leaves die back, and then store the bulb in a cool, dark place for about 8-10 weeks before replanting to trigger a new bloom cycle.
This is a process that happens naturally. Flowers will usually bloom in the morning time (if they close up in the evening). They also usually bloom in the spring and summer time. It isn't something that you can really just make happen. If you have a flower that needs to bloom that is inside, you can get a plant light at your local hardware store.

Lupines typically bloom once per growing season, usually in late spring to early summer. After their initial bloom, they may produce some additional flowers or secondary blooms if the conditions are favorable and if the plant is properly cared for. However, the main flowering period is generally singular and concentrated. Deadheading spent flowers can sometimes encourage a longer display, but a significant second bloom is not common.
