The Cherokee Rose is a climbing rose (Rosa laevigata), and the Magnolia is a large evergreen tree. I can see where in photographs someone might get them confused, but the rose has 5 small, bright white petals and the magnolia is a large flower with 10 or more creamy white petals.
You can propagate a magnolia tree by taking cuttings from a healthy tree, dipping them in rooting hormone, and planting them in a mix of soil and perlite. Keep the cuttings moist and in a warm, bright location until they develop roots.
