Zones are a crap shoot but any Japanese maple can safely be grown in zone 6, but most can be grown in the warmer parts of zone 5 . Peaches and Cream should do ok in 5b or any place it is no exposed to anything consatantly at or below -15 and has some protection . All variegated JMs will need some shade in summer too . Many Jms who die blamed on the cold are actually due to being too wet or sitting in water or freezing water in winter. Peaches and cream is not less hardy thasn most Jms. The most important thing is to not buy a twig, which many etailers sell because they are easy and cheap to ship. Lack of a developed root system of a young tree will likely doom your tree if it gets even to zero. Davidsan

What do you add to rolled oats so that it is like your favorite flavor of oatmeal for example apples and cinnamon or maple and sugar?

If your favorite flavor of instant oats is apple and cinnamon, you can add cinnamon, sugar, and dried apples that have been chopped. If you prefer the maple and sugar flavor, then you can all maple flavoring and sugar, or just add some maple syrup. If you like the peaches and cream flavor, then add chopped dried peaches, cream and sugar. The possibilities are limited only by your taste.
