Phalaenopsis, or moth orchids, are pretty easy to grow. If they're potted, just put a small amount of water into the pot each day, don't let it get too wet and don't ever let it dry out.
I have shallow-root ground cover plant in the pots with mine, which keeps the soil from getting too dry. In Brisbane - subtropical - I find I can just leave them on the ground under a tree amongst ground cover, in their wire hanging baskets, during their dormant period, and bring them out on display when the buds appear.
