Sequoia trees typically grow around 160 to 270 feet in height, however some sequoias have been recorded to be as tall as 311 feet. Sequoias also have a trunk width of about 20 to 26 feet in diameter and the thickest sequoia ever recorded had a diameter of 57 feet.
About 200 sequoia trees are in regular size forest.
We have both types of Sequoia in our garden in France,Sequoiadendron giganteum, Giant Sequoia and Sequoia sempervirens, Coast Redwood.Each of these trees is around 150 years old and we have named the house after them.
