Can a dog eat seaweed

My dog eats seaweed at least 2-3 times a week when we are at the beach. He eats the long tubular kind and he never seems to be ill. In fact it seems to help one of his regular problems which is blocked anal glands! Since we moved near the beach a year ago he hasn't had to visit the vet since!

Yes they can, actually it's very healthy for dogs.

Just remember that not all foods are good for dogs.

Some foods dogs cannot digest and some foods are not safe for dogs.

I always like to check what other people say to make sure.

Yes, cats can eat seaweed and they usually like it. It's high in vitamins and minerals and is a suitable fiber source. Kelp would be better because of its superior folate content, but dried seaweed is easier to find at your local supermarket.
