Is there such thing as a brown zebra?

Zebras' are black and white so flies wont fly around them.

Yes they can have brown stripes. There was one at the North Carolina Zoo. The 'black' stripes on Zebras can range from shades of brown to black in some species. There are also some species of zebras, like Plains Zebras, that can have both black and brown stripes. A picture taken in New Zealand shows a zebra with that coloration. Zebras look white with black lines. The lines are brown dough in a very well cleaned zebra skin.

Even though they look back and white they are actually dark brown and cream.but i have no idea why

Most zebra are black and white; however there are brown and white zebras too.
The white colour can be anything from a milky white to beige.
