Orchids do not need to adapt to the rainforest, if they are present they are part of it and therefore belong.

They fall on branches and with the aid of some fungi germinate, so they feed on fungi by-products, so they don't need large seeds. They are called epiphytes living on the surface of tree's trunk and branches.

So they take advantage of sunlight in the canopy without building large bodies.

They store water on spongy tissues.

They have co-evolved with bees and wasps so they pollinate flowers mainly looking for sex partners, so flowers resemble opposite sex or smell like opposite sex.

Flowers are bright colored and they produce large quantities of seeds, like vanilla, with up to a million seeds in each fruit.
