Im not a scientist but its body shape is the shape of a cone or Christmas tree it has long lighty brown thin branches which stick on an angle, there leaves are long and prickly and they look like dark green with a little bit of light. Mostly there bark is thick, really hard to pull off and they can get from about 10 to 14 metres tall.
Just about anytime but fall, when they would not have time to grow, and would look scalped until the following spring. The ideal time to trim non-flowering evergreens like cypress is at the end of winter.
