Yes. Pesticides can be used in organic farming. but it must be Bio-pesticide. i.e. in organic farming pests are controlled using Bio-pesticides which are prepared using some plants, plant parts & plant by-products that controls pests. Other chemical pesticides cannot be used in organic farming, because these also kills the beneficial microbes that present in field. Yes. There are approved pesticides that can be used in organic farming. However, it is important to note that synthetic pesticides may not be used. it is also importent to note that just because a pesticide is permitted for use in organic farming that does NOTmean it is a healthy one or envirumentally friendly.

Virtually every commercial farm raising cash crops uses pesticides of some sort. Whether it's an insecticide, an herbicide, a fungicide, or even just a rodenticide, commercial farms simply cannot afford to operate without them. Even organic farms have to use some degree of approved organic pesticides. Subsistence farms are about the only ones who don't, because they probably can't afford them.
