No. It is to much of a change and the end product will be different from what is intended. I might add that this does not sound like a very authentic Mexican dish. In Mexican cuisine, there is tortilla soup, but not taco soup. Also, the only salad dressings used in traditional Mexican cuisine is oil & vinegar / vinaigrette. Ranch dressing is absolutely unknown.
